Purpose: Youth will choose where they individually fall along a line of continuum, creating a stronger group understanding of individual leadership and communication styles.
Procedure: Participants will remain in a large group. The Facilitator will define two sides of a room stating that each side represents two sides of a continuum, not opposites. The Facilitator reads aloud two sides of a continuum card having each participant align themselves along the “line” of continuum where they most fit. Make sure to add some fun choices. Ask some participants to share out their choices throughout the activity.
Note: Facilitator will motion to two different sides of room while reading choices and tell participants it is okay to stand in the middle if that is where they are most comfortable. After participants align themselves, the Facilitator will ask for a few participants to share out why they chose their specific position.
